Love Your Pet Contest

The San Diego Humane Society partners with KFMB Stations every spring for an annual telethon to raise donations for animals. After brainstorming new marketing methods to increase exposure and engagement, we decided to run a pet photo contest to encourage our audience to share the love they have for their pets, while promoting the upcoming Day of Giving fundraiser event.
I designed all elements of this contest and monitored entries and voting to ensure participant eligibility. The contest garnered over 300 entries and 2,600 votes, our highest participation for a photo contest to date. The Day of Giving that followed raised more than $250,000 for animals in need.
